|
| The walk up to Kirketaket take about 3 to 5 hours. From the top, there is more than 1000 (3048ft) vertical meters of steep slopes down to the mountain dairy of Kavliheia which is situated at the foothill of the mountain. From Kavliheia and down to Isfjorden Shooting Range, which normally is the starting point for the trip, there is fun skiing. There is actually possible to ski all the way down to the fjord with only using your poles a little bit at the end.
On this web page you can read more about the mountain Kirketaket, get details about the trip up the mountain, look at pictures, follow up on snow depths, explore panoramic pictures and write in the 'mountainbook'. All of us in Isfjorden wish you a pleasant 'virtual trip' and hope that it will help you and inspire you when planning a ski trip or a regular hike to Kirketaket.
